An ideal habitat for fish.
Fertilizer, sewage, and pollutants from the atmosphere are washed into the lake causing eutrophication.
The high amount of nutrients such as: nitrogen and phosphorus in the water cause excess algae growth
The algae blocks out the light from the sun and kills the plants that live below the surface of the lake.
The bacteria that decompose the dead plants reduced the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water making it inhabitable only by phytoplankton.
The decrease in oxygen kills everything in the water including the invertebrates and creates a dead zone.
