The three weeks is held around june or july. Its on the 17th of Tammuz. The Tammuz is a jewish month. The three weeks is based on the two temples of Jerusalem.
The 17th of Tammuz is a day when many tragedies and pitfalls happened. Moses broke the law of the ten commandants on the 17th of Tammuz. The walls of the old city of Jerusalem were breached. The temple was destroyed three weeks later, because of the attack.
During the nine days they eat and they arent allowed to listen to music. The tradition is the temples that are usally just rich traditions.
Weddings arent held on these days. They cant cut their hair. They also cant listen to music. They cant dance either. The three weeks start in the morning. They dont say blessing on this holiday.
Work is permitted every day of the three weeks except for one day when they can enjoy a meal and talk and have fun with family members.
