John Stuart Mills Speech
Women deserve equality! They have raised us to be the people we are! WE WANT EQUALITY!
Why won't they let me vote? I slave away at home while my husband goes to the pub, I deserve to vote!
I still haven't found a job! I have bigger dreams than being a homemaker! I want to change the world!
This is unfair! I man would have been hired by now!
This is where Millicent first got involved in the fight for woman's suffrage.
Women often were expected to stay home and the men were supposed to go out and make the money for their family, but they would spend it all on alcohol.
Millicent's sister ended up becoming the first woman doctor in the UK, but she had to fight her way to earn it.
