Hi, I'm John Maynard Keynes. You must be Adam Smith
Yes, that's me. I've heard we have some opposing views on economics. Let's talk
To start, I would like to point out that my theory is supported by Roy Forbes Harrod and Sir John Richard Hicks.
Well mine is supported by David Ricardo and Jean-Baptiste Say. I'm not trying to pick a fight here
Apologies. So what are your thoughts on government intervention?
Loaded subject. Let's go for a walk
I believe there should not be any government interference in the market. Everyone should be able to act according to his/her self-interest. The economy will work out just fine as a free market economy. What do you think?
Personally, I believe pretty much the opposite. I think government intervention is necessary in times of economic crisis. I believe it's necessary to stabilize the economy or bring the economy out of recession. Citizens can only do so much.
Excuse me. I overheard your conversation, and I would just like to say that I agree with the fellow in front of me. Keynes, was it?
