We did dance, uncle, and when you leaped out of the bush so suddenly, Betty was frightened and then she fainted.
I have a sense for heat, John, and yours has drawn me to my window, and I have seen you looking up, burning in your loneliness.

John—I think I must go with them.
This main conflict represents dishonesty. This conflict is about witchcraft Abigail and the other girls are lying about what they did in the wood. Also, they are accusing people that they "saw with the Devil". They wanted to protect themselves but, most of all Abagail from the truth coming out; she wanted to get rid of Goody Procter.
Man, you will hang! You cannot!
John Proctor is one of the main character that plays a big role in conflict. He started the relationship with Abigail which leads to her "conjuring witch spirits".
A major complications that occurred and affected the conflict is when Elizabeth was arrested for having a voodoo doll that represents Abagail.
The conflict of the story, witchcraft, has not been solved. John Proctor ended up being killed and Elizabeth is still in jail as the judges are waiting for her to have her child to kill her.
