  • A TIME IN NEED
  • ALEX CACIOPPO
  • A PERSONAL CONNECTION
  • I was somewhat annoyed because I don't like hearing people talk about one subject as if they know everything about it.
  • NATURAL INSTINCT
  • THRIFT STORE
  • It interested me when the author described the Jews during WWII putting smalls scriptures in the wall when they knew that nobody would see them.
  • LITERARY DEVICES
  • TAKEN 96
  • I myself have written things down in time of panic or worry. Not knowing if anybody would touch the paper ever again is a very sureal thought.
  • I enjoyed the writers view on the natural instinct to write or record memories. I find myself all the time trying to record memories in some form.
  • In the last paragraph, the author uses the metaphor "break the silence" to intrigue the reader. He uses this metaphor to amplify the damaging words that came after.
