WHAT DID WE JUST DO?!?!?!
Wanting to fit in, Elena often goes to parties and gets drunk like all her friends. However, these actions often cloud her judgement, making her do things she normally would not do if she were sober.
A While Later...
One of the challenges Elena faces is preventing peer pressure from allowing her to get drunk at parties, as well as allowing her to get into a car with a drunk driver. Although she knows deep down that it is wrong, she cannot think well under the influence.
It's okay Elena. Everyone makes mistakes. As long as you learn from this.
How could this happen to me?!?!
As a result, negative consequences could result from Elena's inability to control her actions and have better judgement in terms of what she gets into in certain situations.
I have learned. I promise. I understand the risks now and I'm going to be more careful.
After her judgement has returned to that of a person not under the influence of alcohol, she feels guilt over what she did when she was not in the right mind to think otherwise.
Elena's supportive friend helps her understand that what happened was an accident and that as long as she changes her attitude towards things like these, it won't happen to her again.
Elena finally overcomes this challenge and realizes drinking isn't even that fun, nevertheless allowing a drunk people to drink. She decides to go to parties to support her friends and make sure they get home safely.
