Hi everyone! We are here today discuss Elizabeth's IEP for 3rd grade. My name is Miss Middaugh and I will be her teacher next year. We know her strengths are math and being able to communicate with teachers, but we have to work on her reading skills. Do we all agree? Great. We will focus on comprehension skills this year with a few new books for Liz to have mastery in. We will give you the books to work with her over the summer.
These meetings for Liz are extremely important because this is how she will get the support she needs throughout her years in school. We want her to have as many resources as possible while still being involved with her typically developing classmates. Are there any things that you believe we need to add to her IEP? Please let us know what we can do to increase her success throughout this year of education.
We just want to make sure Liz feels comfortable and happy here, that is our main goal. As long as she succeeds with her goals, we will be content with the year.
We will make that happen, thank you for both coming today!
