- An average cattle farmer makes about $275 per cow.
- You can enjoy this commodity as beef, steak, fertilizer, etc.
- They are mainly raised in western SD. SD is ranked 5th nationally for cattle. 
- Hogs are mostly raised in Southeast SD. Hog farmers make $19,318 per year
- SD is ranked number 9 nationally for hogs. It is also ranked for its production in SD.
- You can enjoy hogs in the forms of pork, bacon, and ham.
- Corn is rich in Vitamin C. It can also be used for feed for livestock and it can also be used to make different cereals.
- Corn makes about $8.8 billion in SD. SD is ranked 6th nationally for corn. 
- In SD corn is mainly grown east of the Missouri River.
- South Dakota makes about $2.3 billion from soybeans. We are ranked 10th in the nation for soybean production.
- Soybeans can be used as animal feed and we can also eat them. They are high in protein.
