Storyboard Text

  • Only the biggest ones. We need larger wheat this year.
  • Inundation:
  • Which seeds should we plant?
  • We need more bricks! Hurry up!
  • Ugh! It's hot and we're tired!
  • Emergence:
  •     These Egyptians disscuss  their options as they begin to plant seeds in the early morning. They try to choose the largest grains as another Egyptian walks his animals. They plant in the rich soil of the Inundation season. After, they will wait for their seeds to grow.
  • Harvest:
  •     The pharaoh orders his workers as they build a pyramid. The farmers complain, for they must work in the blistering heat of the hot desert day, in the season of Inundation. The pharaoh tries to rush his workers. They are almost finished. They do their best to carry the heavy bricks.
  •     The crops are emerging, and Harvest is almost here. The Egyptians prepare the crops for Harvesting season. Choosing only the best wheat to save to plant next year. They try to get as much work done in the heat of the day. They will continue tomorrow in this season of Emergence.
  • Emergence
  • Inundation
  • Hieroglyphics for the Seasons
  • Harvest
  • Desert
  •     Harvest has come, so there are many parties. These  Egyptians dance along with their pharaoh in this joyful season. They wear their best clothes. They also put on a lot of makeup. They enjoy their party in the season of Harvest.
  •     These Egyptians harvest their crops. They will choose the biggest grains for planting next season. They'll eat the rest, or store them for winter. They would also use them for flour. They work all day in the season of Harvest.
  •     I chose these hieroglyphics because they spell the seasons of ancient Egypt. They are what this comic is about. I also chose the desert hieroglyph because Egypt is mainly desert, other than a few oasis' and the Nile river. These hieroglyphics seem to explain what my comic strip is all about. And, features of Egypt.
