Storyboard Text

  • Excuse me doctor, how do messages travel from one neuron to another?
  • I'm so glad you asked! First lets talk about the structure of a neuron...
  • Dendrites
  • When a stimulus triggers a neuron, electrical impulses travels through the axon to the axon terminals and then over the synapse.
  • This is a neuron! The ends near the cell body are called dendrites and the ends of the axon are called axon terminals.
  • Axon Terminals
  • The impulse travels over the impulse and then carry to next neuron through the dendrites to the nucleus. This process continues onto the following neurons!
  • Fascinating!
