They all arrive at Soldier Island and get acquainted because they do not know each other yet.
The conflict is the ten strangers begin to die one by one. They cannot figure out who the murderer is, however they know it must be one of them.
The main events that take place in the beginning of the story leading up to the climax is the rising action. Leading up to the climax, Mr. Marston, Mrs. Brent, Mr. Rogers, Mrs. Rogers, and General Mcarthur are brutally killed. After the murderers of these 5 people, the 5 people remaining realize the murderer must be one of them.

The major turning point of the story, the climax, is when the 4 people left ran down the stairs into the kitchen to find Mr. Wargrave with a bullet through his head. It was the most shocking event because the other 4 felt that he could possibly be the murderer.
The main events that take place leading up to the resolution is the falling action. After the climax, the 4 people that were remaining all died. This left people questioning how this was possible.
Finally after the ten bodies were discovered by the policed, a letter was found. In this letter were the reasons why the murder was committed, how it was committed, and who did it. Lawrence Wargrave was the murderer and the one to sign off this letter.
