Because of the taxes, colonies didn't buy the British Goods.
Alright, Let's just not buy the British goods.
Why should we? They didn't do anything for us.
Colonies reaction: Boycotted Goods.
Fine, No Stamp act! However, we are in charge of you guys, we are more powerful! You guys have to listen to us! Also, we are putting taxes in the important goods such as glass, led paper, and tea.
British took back stamp act, made new Declaratory Act ( sort of law to say that they are stronger than the colonies and the colonies have to listen to Bitians). Also they passed the Townshed Act which was to put tax on basic imports to the colonies (glass, paper, tea, etc.) .
Declaratory act, townshed act
We are not going to buy or follow anything of the Britains. We're going to make our own things!
Yeah, we are so not going to follow the Britains' fashion. We are colonies ourself!
Daughters of Liberty
The Britains started to send troops in Boston to make people pay taxes and buy items. However an accident that the troops shooting five colonists happened which was the Boston Massacre. (1770) Feeling sorry, the Britains calls back the troops in Boston, removes taxes on everything except tea.
British response: Tea act
Boston people spread out and communicated with other countries about how the British threatened colonial rights. Also as a result of the tea act, the colonies threw away every tea in the Ocean.
