  • EXPOSITION
  • I can't stand this insufferable anxiety I get when I see his vulture eye. I must get rid of it.
  • RISING ACTION
  •  HAHAHA, I will get that eye!!!

  • CLIMAX
  • In this scene the narrator is introduced. He tries to prove to the audience that he isn't insane for killing the old man because of his eye.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • Sorry officers I was the one who screamed, the old man is out of town. Won't you come in though?
  • In this scene the narrator talks about his sojourns to the old man's room over the next eight days and how he plots to get rid of the eye.
  • RESOLUTION
  • TICK, TICK, TICK, TICK,  TICK, TICK!!!
  • In this scene finally one night the old man wake's up to the narrator coming into his room. Then the narrator sees the eye and vehemently pulls the old man to the floor and kills him with the mattress.
  • Someone please HELP!!!
  • DIE, DIE, DIE!!!
  • In this scene the police arrive because there have been reports of screaming. The narrator cover's up this report by saying he was screaming and that the old man was out of town. The cops believed his supposition and the narrator invites them inside.
  • Yes, I would love to come in, thank you for the offer.
  • In this scene the story ends when the narrator keeps hearing the ticking sound he believes to be the old man's heart. and confesses He thought the cops knew what he had done and that his foolish act was being greeted with derision by the cops so he confessed.
  • I confess just make the noises stop!
