Cassio continues to try and contact Desdemona by setting up clowns and musicians to get her attention. Emelia then tells Othello that Desdemona is trying to speak on Cassio's case but Othello takes it in a jealous way and becomes even more suspicious.
Cassio and Desdemona are mid talk and Iago and Othello enter the scene. Cassio departs, and Iago makes it seem more suspicious. Desdemona begs Othello to let Cassio get his job back and he says he shall talk to him but not at the moment. Iago and Othello are alone together and Iago triggers Othello's jelalous feelings even more by provoking him to think that Desdemona cheating.
Desdemona begs the clown to try and find Cassio to bring him back so she can suit him with Othello. Othello becomes suspicious of the handkerchief and explains the story of it to Desdemona and repeatedly asks for it, when Desdemona ignores him, Othello leaves. Desdemona suspects that Othello is acting this way for some political reason. Bianca enters and Cassio tells her to copy the handkerchief.
