My Destination Guidebook - Alexander Turner
This storyboard does not have a description.
HI, I'm Alexander Turner! Today I want to talk about my Destination Guide - where I see myself heading after school is finished. I'm using this board today because I'm a visual and auditory type of guy. I can show you the pathways I need to take and hopefully the skills that will take me there. And most importantly why I'm choosing this pathway. So sit back and relax and enjoy the show!
Sometimes I feel like a tennis ball bouncing back and forth and sometimes falling out of bounds. One day I want to be an architect and the next a chef. However, now that I have started the Hospitality Program at Western Tech, I'm leaning towards being a chef. I'm doing really well in the culinary class and making really good food. I'm definitely taking cooking again in Grade 10. I think I can start seeing where my life is going to take me.
Sports is a huge part of my extracurricular time. I love playing baseball with the High Park Bantam Team and will continue to play each year. I will also try and get on the baseball and swimming team at WTCS too. I'm very motivated to keep active all the time - my sister was just diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes so it is very important that nutrition is a big part of our diet moving forward and exercise.
I will continue with post secondary school after WTCS. I am interested in finding out more about the cooking schools in Stratford, Ontario and PEI. I'm really interested in taking more culinary courses and possibly some nutrition courses to understand more about the body and what we eat.
For my career, I think my culinary skills will be transferred to a chef or something to do with cooking or maybe nutrition. I can see myself cooking in a restaurant or a personal chef.
I hope my personal goals will take me where I want to be. Seems like I should end up on a beach in Kauai! Perhaps I will be cooking Kauai Pig on the island and having Luau's! Thanks for reading about me!
