  • 776 BC
  • I shall beat you in the Olympic games!!
  • I am so honored to have these  Olympic games to honor me.
  • Not if I beat you first!!
  •  The first Olympic Games takes place. The games would take place every 4 years in honor of the Greek god Zeus.
  • Homer begins to write the Iliad and Odyssey. These epic poems become two of the most famous literary works in Greek literature.
  • 750 BC
  •  What shall I call my two poems?
  • At last, I have figured it out! I shall call one poem the Iliad and the second poem the Odyssey!
  •  About 10 minutes later
  • Sophocles begins to write plays for the theatre. Soon the theater became a very popular form of entertainment in Greece. 
  • 468 BC
  • This is the first play I have ever written so it has to be amazing!
  • Give me your SCARIEST face "Medusa!"
  • 399 BC
  • You shall be put to death for corrupting the youth with your TERRIBLE teachings.
  • The famous Greek philosopher Socrates is put to death for corrupting the youth of Athens with his teachings. 
  • 323 BC
  • The Hellenistic period began when Alexander the Great died. The Ancient Greek civilization begins its decline and the Ancient Romans start to gain power. 
  • Alexander the Great has died and the Greeks have began there decline which means us Romans are starting to gain power!!
  • The crowd erupts with cheers!!!!
  • Rome conquers Greece making it part of the Roman Empire. 
  • 146 BC
  • Us Romans have conquered Greece, making it part of our Roman Empire!!
  • The crowd erupts with DEAFENING cheers!!!!
