  • When teachers visit a student's home, it exposes his/her interest, influence, support system and knowledge outside the school's curriculum. More information can be gathered about the student than a parent-teacher conference, asking questions and sharing personal stories. Though visiting their home, the teacher can applied what she had observed and created a lesson that engages students to learn because it involves their interest. While still meeting standards.
  • 1) My Dad: Work hard and quick while being accurate 2) Nanny and dive lessons: learned how to manage multiple children 3) Santa Cruz: Getting outdoors for fresh air and exposure to different regions
  • Through my funds of knowledge, it will help aid me in being a teacher by disciplining myself to complete and prep for task. Through nannying children, I learned how to multitask to meet all their needs. Exposure to different environments allows me to expose students to what is out there in the world. Some may not have access to travel to new places. Plus, it teaches good health, exercise and getting outdoor for fresh air.
