Young Goodman Brown
Scene 16: Goodman then blacks out and finds himself in the forest where he was listening to the roaring winds. Goodman had no clue if he had dreamt the whole thing but he wasn't going to risk it. Goodmans faith was completely gone. Audio: Roaring winds which were dying down
Scene 17: Brown heads back to his village. When Brown entered the village he spotted everyone that was at the meeting and was reminded of how fake and terrible they are. He then spots Faith, who tries to run and hug him, but he looks into her eyes in disgust, and walks past, Knowing his wife is satanic. Audio: Towns people talking, footsteps.
Scene 18: Goodman then lives out the rest of his life in anger and sorrow. Brown had lost his faith completely and never gained it back since that night. Thus ending the story with the truth from the authors two main ideas and how they connect: It is hard to keep faith when you are under temptation, it is hard not to be tempted to lose faith when those around you lose it too. Audio: Faith sobbing
