I should work in a mill.
What?!... it melted...
Why does it popped?
Percy Lebaron Spencer was born on July 9th , 1894 in Howland, Maine. He never graduated from elementary school, but he went to work in a mill as an apprentice at age of 12, before joining to the US Navy.
According to my research it is a kind of microwave energy... it must be a low-density microwave energy.
While at the Raytheon Corp, he worked on magnetrons-vacuum tubes. Spencer was testing a magnetron when he noticed that the chocolate ar in his pocket had melted.
Wow! It cooks very fast
Intrigued, Spencer tested other food, including: popcorn, kernels and noticed that they all popped.
Spencer realized that the food had beed exposed to low-density microwave energy.
He next built a metal box and fed microwave power into it. Spencer discovered that microwaves could cook food faster than convention arens. He filled a patent application in 1945.
Since the microwave oven arrived in pur kitchens, the lifestyle of thousands of people has changed a lot. The benefits of the microwave are based on its speed to heat food and the simplicity of its use.
