With overpopulation becoming a concern genetically modified crops and animals assist the farming world to keep up with the demand and supply ratio, by allowing crops and animals to grow and reach maturity at a reduced time compared to-non-genetic modified organisms. There are many reasons to support that genetic modification should be more used including, by not limited to, nutritional-content can be increased, and it can solve world hunger. These arguments will be explained by my two associates Freddie and Fabio.
Genetic modification can allow a certain crop or animal to produce more protein or nutrients making it healthier for consumption. GM can also reduce the amount of fat and sugar in foods reducing obesity on a high scale. With more nutrient filled foods, it will require less crops and animals to satisfy a human’s daily energy intake thus allowing more crops to be distributed to other people. As a rebuttal to Speaker 1 for against team there has been an increase in food intolerance however GMO’s have no evidence suggesting that they are the cause for the intolerance.
World hunger has been around for years, and GM can finally rid of it within months as it allows crops and animals to be grown faster and at a cheaper rate allowing poorer people to be able to afford to buy more food and receive more nutrients from their food. It also allows people in deserts and prone to drought areas to have access to drought resistant crops allowing them to have food in dire times. In conclusion Genetic modification brings many positive changes to the world as the world is changing humans need to adapt, genetic modification is that very tool as it aids with overpopulation, nutrient increase in foods and solving world hunger.

Genetic modification has only been around for a few decades and we have already been seeing drastic changes in the environment caused by modified crops these changes include: they kill off important natural plants, kill wildlife sometimes endangered species and changing the natural ecosystems. We have not yet seen the true damage modified foods can cause however scientists believe that it can change the world in a bad way. In regard to speaker one for GMOS there is more safer ways to overcoming overpopulation that do not require destroying the fragile ecosystem.
Super weeds are a new problem caused by GMO’s. Super weeds are weeds that have adapted to poisons produced by GMO’s to kill weeds and are resistant to it allowing it kill natural and GMO crops. This deals a massive blow to farmers even if they aren’t using GMO’s because the weeds can spread over distances. In conclusion GMO’s are a bad influence in society as they increase food intolerance, they are unethical and dangerous and cause many problems such as super weeds.
