The reactions to the Stamp Act was that Colonial assemblies sent petitions and protests. The group that refused all taxes was the Sons of Liberty.
  • Boston Tea Party Part 2
  • The Boston Massacre was when the British travelled to America and planned on confronting the colonists. They started heckling at a man named Christmas Attax and things became violent. Guns were revealed and Christmas was killed along with 4 others. His death was used as propaganda against Britain and it was drawn by Paul Revere. It occurred on King Street on March 5 1770.
  • Lexington

  • Concord
  • The aftermath of the Boston Tea Party was that tea was dumped into the harbour and it began to smell so it was closed. It would only be reopened if the 340 dumped chests where paid for.
  • There were 80 men from the militia from the Americas in town and their leader was John Parker. A shot was fired and it was known as the 'shot heard around the world'
  • The soldiers relocated. Later on in Concord, the British went to the North Bridge and were positioned in a way which made them stronger. The American army had more soldiers and more power. The British marched and retreated back to Boston. After the battle Britain had lost more men compared to the American.
