Hector and his Grandfather are sitting at the table and they ask each other questions. At first Hector asked the questions, but then he went to school. Now Luis, Hector's grandfather, asks Hectorthe prices of houses.
Luis takes Hector to a pink house that's for sale and asks him how much he thinks it will cost. Hector responds, "30,000?" Luis thinks he can save up enough to buy it and he starts imagining what he could do with it.
Hector is playing with the dog when his grandfather comes up to him. Luis wants Hector to call the number on the "For Sale" to find out how much the house actually costs. However, Hector said no last time, so Luis promised to give him two dollars after he called the number.
After talking to the saleswoman, the two have found out the house costs $45,000. This is a lot more than Hector predicted so he gets blamed a little. Luis becomes upset because he won't be able to buy a house for $45,000.
Hector and his grandfather call the number to the saleswoman again and Hector's grandfather wants Luis to ask why the house costs so much because he saw cracks. Before they can get a straight answer, Hector's grandmother comes in and almost catches them. They say Hector invited his friend over so Hector's grandmother wouldn't think they were guilty.
Hector and his grandfather were happy his grandmother let them off the hook, so they went out to mow the lawn. While they were walking back up to the house, Hector asked his grandfather for the $4, but his grandfather was reluctant to give it to him. After Hector threatened to tell his grandmother, Luis gave him the money, but only $2. Luis said Hector will get the rest after he buys the pink house, but he's not upset anymore so the problem was solved.
