  • Stripes Tiger and Rahul
  • Then, he walked past a big tree. He came upon a large tiger, Stripes trapped in a steel cage. The villagers had caught him for stealing lambs.
  • Rahul was shocked and frightened. The tiger pleaded Rahul to free him from the cage. Rahul hesitated for a while but Stripes assured that he would not harm Rahul.
  • Hey mister! I am so thirsty. Please open the cage so I can get a little drink.  There is no water here.
  • If I let you out, you would jump on me and eat me up.
  • Rahul was a friendly boy. As he opened the door and let the tiger out, Stripes sprang on Rahul with the idea of eating him up.
  • But Stripes. you promised you wouldn't. It's not FAIR!!!
  • I kill my prey for food. It's perfectly right for me to eat you!
  • After much wailing of Rahul, Stripes agreed to ask he first three people who came along whether it was fair for him to eat up the boy or not.
  • The first to pass by was an old goat, Mr Neigh. Mr Neigh looked up at Rahul tiredly. He hated humans a lot and he suggested that Stripes should eat Rahul.
  • Mr Neigh, Mr Neigh, I set Stripes free from his cage. Now he wants to eat me. Is that fair?
  • My master doesn't feed me properly and beats me with his stick. You should eat Rahul. It's one less person in the world!
