The king was very barbaric. He had to get everything his way or it was wrong. His daughter is dating a man and the king is very angry about it.
When a crime is committed, the King places the criminal into an arena, They choose between two doors. One door leads to a tiger, which will kill you immediately. The other door leads to a perfect woman that you will marry on the spot.
The King's daughter is dating a man. They were in love and were together for months. The King then finds out about this love affair and is very angry. The King sentences the man to choose his fate in the arena.
Central idea/ theme
TO THE ARENA!!
The Princess knows which door holds the tiger, and which door holds the lady. The princess is going to tell her lover which door to choose. She needs to decide weather she wants him to die, or be married to someone else. Eventually, she points to the door on the right, and the man chooses that door.
The author leaves the ending to your imagination. There was no answer to which door he chose in the end. Personally, I think he opened the door with the tiger. The princess would not want him to marry another woman, but rather die and see him in heaven.
The main theme is that the choices you make have consequences in the end. They were in love even though they knew that it would not be approved by the king. Eventually, their luck ran out and the King sentenced him to the arena, choosing his own fate in the end.
