In this scene John Proctor is telling Abby that he use to have a thing for her but now he wants nothing to do with her. He is telling her to forgot everything they ever did or had. Also that they will never have a thing again.
Abby, is basically talking bad about Proctor wife. She feels like a man like him should be with someone better than a sick woman. She wants to be with him.
Proctor is defending his wife. He doesn't want Abby to be talking about his wife. This shows that he still loves his wife and truly doesn't want anything to do with Abby anymore
