  • I want to teach my 4-H Teen Club students how to follow a recipe according to FCS Extension Curriculum using the various levels of the SAMR Model. 
  • S Substitution 
  • PB&J 2 Slices of Bread                  2 T.  Peanut Butter              1 T. Grape Jelly
  • Today we are going to substitute pen and paper for laptops to copy our recipe. This will help with the effecency of writing your recipes. 
  • A Augmentation 
  • PB&J 2 Slices of Bread                  2 T.  Peanut Butter              1 T. Grape Jelly
  • Today I want you to find and include helpful links and images in your document to help you with the recipe. This will help your recipe documents be more functional.  
  • M Modification 
  • We are using WordPress to create a blog page to redesign our recipes, people around the world can explore our pages adding to the discussion immediately.We also have even more resources to add to our recipes!

  • R Redefinition 
  • We made a video demonstrating making the recipe and explaining how to follow the recipe. This video task allowed us to understand reading recipes in new ways!
  •  As an educator it is perfectly fine to use lower levels of SAMR to guide your students’ learning as long as you have a good mix of also implementing the higher levels.                    Remember S- Substitution         A- Augmentation M- Modification    R- Redefinition, SAMR!
