For over 400 years, people of color have been oppressed just because of the color of their skin.
If you were white, you had a higher chance of succeeding in life than if you were black or Hispanic. As our society grows, it becomes more and more of an impending issue. It’s time that we put a stop to it.
According to the Declaration of Independence, “we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” As girl's from different countries and cultures that are living in America, we should be able to be treated equal by our white counterparts.
To help our cause, try to do the following things
Respect all others no matter their skin color or religious beliefs
Don’t let stereotypes define your race or anyone else’s
Keep all personal grudges against a race to yourself If it isn’t nice, don’t say it
