Rupert is a boy who can see ghosts. He gets bullied and lives a lonely life in a lonely house, with just him and his mom. The only thing that brightens up his day is seeing a senior in his school named Ericka Banpiroa, a name straight out of the Basque language. It means vampire. Cool right?
He can't help but feel pulled towards her for some reason. As if her beauty isn't enough. But there's something calling to him, she's calling to him. He needs to find out why.
(Story; he's a special kid that's immortal and he has no idea, just like Ericka. Immortal for a different reason she's a vampire and he was born immortal to either save or destroy the world, he doesn't know yet.)
Meet Rupert. Rupert is a kind little boy with charm and spunk. Or at least... was. He is loved by many, but feared by most.
Because he can see ghosts.
The bigger kids make fun of him for it. They called him 'Spook Boy' just to get on his nerves. These days, he's just angry and scared and upset.
Well, except for when he sees Ericka.
No, they've never spoken before, but he can't help but feel pulled to her for some reason. Indeed, she is beautiful with that smile, that hair, those red eyes- probably contacts- ... But it's not because of her beauty. He just can't put his finger on it.
All Rupert knew about her was that her name was Ericka Banpiroa. A name straight from the Basque language. It means vampire. Funny, right?
The weird thing about her is that she never smiles. Though a couple times, Rupert's caught a glance of her in the school's choir room playing the piano, thinking no one else is watching her. And she smiles.
He's even made eye contact with her once. Just once- at the pier. She just happened to be there when he was too, with his mother; she looked at him from behind the balcony, and the wind swept her hair away, covering her eyes, and just like that, she left.
