Storyboard Text

  • Newtons first law in basketball
  • OWLS
  •  Newtons first law is when an object is at rest, stays at rest
  • And an object in motion stays in motion unless an outside force acts on it
  • Newtons second law
  • OWLS
  • the acceleration of an object is dependent upon the force applied
  • WOW!!!
  • I will be back, 2 minutes
  • Newtons third law
  • OWLS
  • For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction
  • Nice shot but i am better!!
  • you can observe Newtons first law in basketball when the player shoots the ball lots of outside forces act upon the ball and although the ball  seems  moving in the same direction. Air resists the ball because of drag and gravity  pulls the ball to the floor.
  • Newtons second law happens in basketball when the player shoots the ball. to shoot the ball you need to apply enough force to unbalance the force and to beat an outside force that stops the ball from moving. if the player wants to shoot the ball in another direction he must apply the force in the direction that he wants.
  • Newtons third law happens when the basketball hits the backboard and the ball bounces back because of Newtons third law, so when the ball hits the backboard, the backboard would hit the ball in the same force applied but in the opposite direction.
