This is a picture of the Indians helping the farmers. Indians would help farmers plant because in return they get some of the fruits and vegetables that they helped grow. The entire family had to work on the farm to survive.
This is a picture of the boys doing one of their normal chores. These chores include stoking fires, getting water, milk the cows, and churn cream.
Women had to spin wool, repair clothes, and tend to the garden. The pioneers also made soap out of lye, ashes, and water.
