it is a sunny day and i need groceries.
I will go and you will hide here, besides i can move faster alone. You will put yourself and Coyotito in danger if you go.
No, we want to go too.
Juana found the pearl but she couldn't decide whether or not to go back to the ocean or give it back to Kino. When Juana looked ahead, she saw Kino holding his knife and a dead man laying beside him. From this point on in the story, Kino has never been the same.
Juana warned Kino that they should leave La Paz because people were after them and their pearl. At first Kino didn't believe her, but he was aware when he noticed their canoe had a hole in it and when they rushed up to their brush house, it was up in flames.
Kino, Juana, and Coyotito left their village the next morning and headed to Loreto try and sell the pearl, but on the way there they encountered trackers that came for the pearl. Kino advised Juana to hold Coyotito close and to stay up in the small cave in the mountain while he went down to kill the trackers.
The trackers heard a soft cry that was almost like a baby and that's when Kino knew he had to strike. In the process of Kino trying to kill the trackers, he accidentally shot Coyotito. Kino fired between the eyes of eyes of what he thought was a tracker trying to climb the mountain.
Kino and Juana walked back to La Paz with their dead baby on Juana's shoulder. They walked side by side and when they got to the water's edge, they threw the pearl as far as they could. Together they watched it settle into the ocean floor and soon the music of the pearl disappeared.
