Everything had seemed to go back to normal in the town of Sighet. The people were calm and Moishe the Beadel had given up on trying to warn everyone of the Germans.
But then it happened..... the Germans had entered Sighet. Although they didnt seem like the mean and viscous Nazis. They entered calmly, no yelling no nothing.
I saw Moishe The Beadle running down the street. He was yelling, screaming that he had warned us. That he was right.
Not long after the Nazis had arrived they had separated us into what we called "Ghettos" They told us that everything was gonna be alright but i had my suspicions. I wondered why they were separating us but that question would not be answered until it was far too late.
once everyone was settled in my father and the rest of the Jews in the ghettos created a new community. We had our own officers there were shops and even a clinic for those who were ill.
Thankfully we were able to keep our home as we lived just on the perimeter of the first ghetto. But for other jews they had to move to a new home. I still questioned all the things that were happening. How long would we live in the ghetto? Will we go back to normal or be sent elsewhere? No one had the answers but little did we know that we would find out soon....
