  • Greek Development
  • The Persian Wars
  • Golden Age of Athens
  • The Greeks had development in areas such as, architecture, philosophy, literature and music. Greek poets, architects and philosophers such as Plato, Aristotle, Epicurus and Plotinus founded the culture that we still identify with. (Crash Course 3:04)
  • Peloponnesian War
  • Between 490 and 480 B.C.E., the Persians made war on the Greek city-states. The whole war started because Athens supported those aforementioned florian Greeks when they were rebelling in Anatolia against the Persians. (Crash Course 6:07)
  • Hellinistic Age
  • The Golden Age of Athens was a time of many important advancements. This included the Parthenon, a temple that became a church and then a mosque and then an armory. It then finally settled into it's current gig as a ruin. (Crash Course 6:35)
  • My Greek Storyboard
  • The Peloponnesian War was a 30-year long fight between the Spartans and Athenians. The Athenians ordered that the Melians submit to Athenian rule. When the Melians declined, Athenians killed all Melian men and enslaved all the women and children. The winner of the Peloponnesian War was the Spartans. This resulted in conflict between Greek city-states. (Crash Course 8:04)
  • The Hellenistic Age was between 323 and 30 B.C.E. Brought up by Alexander the Great, this was in which Greek culture spread across Western Asia and Northeastern Africa. Alexander the Great was the influencer for many Greek styled cities. (The Earth and it's Peoples, Chapter 4)
