Franklin D. Roosevelt gave his famous Pearl Harbor speech, titled "The Infamy Speech", the day after the Pearl Harbor bombing. This speech was an address to Congress, asking it to declare war on Japan.
September 2, 1945 was the day that World War Two officially ended. On this day, the Axis powers surrendered. The Allied powers accepted this on May 8th, and Hitler committed suicide the following day.
