• Hey Max, do you know how to solve this stoichiometry problem?
• I might, what does the problem say?
• 4NH + 5O2 ---> 6H2O + 4NO How many grams of NO is produced if 12g of O2 is combined with excess amonia?
• I do actually! Here are the steps: 1) Start off by writing your known , 12gO2. 2) Multiply by 1molO2/32gO2 that you can easily get from the periodic table.3) Multiply again by 4molNO/5molO2, this information can be found in the balanced equation. 6) Multiply again by 30.01gNO/1molNO. 7) Solve after canceling out the numerators and denominators. Your final answer should be 9gNO.
• Wow thank you! That was a lot easier than I thought!
