TWO EXPLORERS SLEEP OVERNIGHT IN A REGION OF THE NORTH POLE, JUST TO FIND OUT NEXT MORNING THAT THEY'RE STUCK IN A GLACIER, WHICH HAS DETACHED FROM THEIR MAIN ISLAND
Alright so let me get this straight, we're stranded in the middle of the ocean because cities which are thousands of miles away produce C02 that makes the poles melt?
Yes, exactly. Because the C02 that we humans produce, a layer in the atmosphere is formed, which stops the solar radiation which reaches the earth from escaping. This is called "The Greenhouse effect".
And what does it have to do with the poles melting?
Well, the solar radiation, which is also reflected by the clouds, becomes trapped, and the temperature of the planet increases.
We're basically stuck here, because the temperature of the earth just rises...
