Storyboard Text

  • Symbol
  • Imagery
  • The stones represent the old tradition and how the weapon to kill has not evolved. The stones also are a symbol because they are strong and hard, which shows they endured time and new morals like the tradition. The stones have a deep meaning because even the children are collecting them to participate.
  • Figurative Language
  • This isn't fair why should I die
  • The phrase "richly Green grass" is used as imagery of provide details of the beauty of the town. Though the town is a solemn place we can imagine lush green fields with crops growing. The grass gives a peaceful and tranquil feeling to the story.
  • Tone and Theme
  • The Figurative Language I used was Hubouious because ............................. clearly states that "It isn't fair! Why should I die?". As if she is better than anyone else in the town. This picture represents her family in shock while she is more spiteful than the rest.
  • The theme on this story is tradition and the tone is it wont change over time or even with new fond logic. I pictured this as a family tree type of thing.  Where even through time the tradition has not changed.  Though there is modernization they still stick to superstitious old ways.
