GROWTH AND IMPACT OF THE DUTCH EAST INDIAN COMPANY
The Dutch East India Company, or known as VOC, was a company whose main purpose was trade and colonisation throughout the 17th - 18th centuries.
Besides trading across vast areas, the VOC employed bureaucracy of servants in order to look after in the East Indies.
The company was really successful that it became the paramount power of the archipelago!
The VOC was very powerful during the 17th century ; establishing commercial control in Indonesia
That's true! The VOC was able to take control of Malacca from the Portuguese, confined the British and last but not least, grew connections of factories in the eastern islands.
