Storyboard Text

  • Hey Lia! What's the matter?
  • Well for science we have to research about the ringtail lemur's adaptations but the problem is that whenever I search ringtail lemur's it starts talking about other lemur's and not the ring-tailed one!
  • Oh, well, have you tried the boolean searching yet?
  • Well, it's when you add words to your searches such as AND, NOT, or OR to narrow down the searches. Here let's try 2 questions together.
  • What is that?
  • Okay, first one "ringtail lemur's climate and location". What word should I use?
  • Search "Ringtail lemurs climate AND in all caps their climate. And is used to combine two ideas
  • Hey Lia! What's the matter?
  • Next one it says 'either what they eat or how they hunt'
  • Search 'How lemurs hunt OR in all caps, what they eat" OR is used so you can get one or the other in a search
  • So search up what's the closest living thing to the ringtail lemur NOT in all caps, the Mouse lemur. NOT helps you filter out unnecessary searches.
  • The last one is "what's the closest living relative to the lemur?"
