Growing up my life was hard. My parents fought all the time, always beat on each other and they both were addicted to pills. Life was so awful I was always so sad.
As I got older I was very depressed and I started drinking and hurting myself. I had no one to talk to and I was so young I didn't understand what was going on my world felt dark and lonely.
Finally I decided I wasn't going to let my parents miserable relation ship ruin my life. So I went to counseling to talk to someone and work through my issues. It taught me how to work through issues even if I have to do it alone. Life isn't so hard anymore.
