Rise of Industrialization
This storyboard does not have a description.
I am Andrew Carnegie, a Scottish Immigrant on my way to America for job opportunity.
It is 1870, I just arrived in Pittsburgh and I found a job manufacturing steel.
I have recently outdistanced my competitors with a combination of salesmanship and the latest technology.
My business strategy consists of vertical integration. This is when a company controls every stage of the industry process, from mining the raw materials to transporting the finished product.
It is now 1900 and I have employed over 20,000 employees and produced more steel than the steel mills in Britain.
I have sold my multi million dollar company to a company headed by J.P. Morgan. This will be become the first billion dollar company, controlling over three-fifths of the nations steel business.
