The happy faces of the civilians slowly twisted into frowns as multiple people fell ill after being infected by the plague. Loved ones began to pass away and the city was drained of all hope. Ninsun and Sumuqan slowly began to panic, terrified by Nergal's curse.
The two old friends sadly watched as families mourned their losses. Ninsun forgave Sumuqan and they promised to remain as friends until their last breaths.
Ellil realized that his plan had worked and Nergal got rid of the sickness. The city was happy yet again and although some did not survive, Ninsun and Sumuqan realized that forgivness and friendship was the source of true peace and happiness.
