Bradford talks about how one of the shipmates, John Howand, almost fell over and died but he held on and was saved. Bradford uses this event as an example to show that God watches us and that everything happens because of God.
The Puritan got to their New World in Cape Cod but they were disappointed because they were promised a new land and Cape Cod was not like what they expected it to look like. They were very negative about their arrival and could not look past it to start their development of their new colony.
In the end, the Puritans and the Indians were finally able to come to an agreement and meet to form a peace treaty between them. This is when Bradford thoughts about the Indians being "savages" are changed.
