  • There was a miserly husband and wife who lived in a broken down cabin.  The wife was an angry person and Tom walker wanted to be out of the marriage.
  • Rising Action
  • Let that skull alone!
  • Tom Walker decided to take a shortcut through the swamp, which was dark and a dangerous path. He stumbled upon an Indian fort.
  • Climax
  • Sitting on a tree stump,looking at the fort around him, Tom Walker's staff hit something, which happened to be a skull with an Indian Tomahawk in it.
  • Falling action/ Resolution
  • After trying to pull the tomahawk from the skull, a man appeared telling him to leave the skull alone. Asking Tom Walker why he is on his grounds.Tom Walker asked who the man was, he said he had many names.
  • The devil Put his thumbprint on Tom walker's forehead, telling him that if Tom Walker did as he asked,Kidd the Pirate's treasure would be his. Therefore, making a deal with the devil.
  • After conning many men, the devil finally came after him. Taking him away on a solid black horse, no one hearing from Tom Walker again.
