Storyboard Text

  • The students of Miss.Da Silva never went a day without their cellphones.
  • So Miss. Da Silva decided to use E-Learning tools to support the students learning in the classroom.
  • I will allow cellphone use, AS LONG as it is for learning!
  • Principal Fairly
  • You can use social networking in your classroom, but you need to ensure you have parent consent from each student.
  • Of course, I would not want any privacy or ethical issues arising with parents.
  • Miss. Da Silva had to ensure that all students had access to the E-Learning tools, no matter the circumstance.
  • I don't think I can participate in class, I do not have a cellphone to use to connect online. My parents cannot afford to buy me a phone and I do not want to ask my parents to borrow theirs. What will I do?
  • Don't worry! I will provide you with an iPad to use in class.
  • Please pull out your cellphones and log into our Google Classroom. There you can find classroom resources, notes, assignments, and links to our classroom social media!
  • MINDS BLOWN!
  • Using social media and E-Learning tools, like Google Classroom, Miss. Da Silva was able to communicate with her class and parents everyday. Students had no excuse for not completing tasks, and student engagement had increased. Miss. Da Silva was thankful that her school had iPads available to sign out so every student was able to particpate.
  • I LOVE TECHNOLOGY!
