  • (2) Darling, some random lady is here to see you I don't think I should let her in.
  • (1) Ah, here I sit, casually in my bath writing a list of people to be executed.
  • (3) Why yes of course let her in, my wife! Everyone is welcome during bath time!
  • (1) I have useful information for one of your articles!
  • (2) Ah! Please do come in and hand me my rubber ducky.
  • (7) Watch me.
  • (1) SIKE! I will kill you now because of how you've contributed to the Reign of Terror!

  • (3) No shirt Sherlock I'm holding it in front of you.
  • (2) I see the knife you're about to stab me with!

  • Jean-Paul Marat, one of the most radical journalists of the French Revolution, he had an awful skin condition that required him to soak in a medicated bath.  This bath was where he completed most of his works and writings.  He was a vigorous defender of the sans-culottes and wrote works advocating basic rights for the poor. p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica}
  • A woman showed up at his flat claiming to have useful information for one of his editorials in L’Ami du Peuple, but instead planned to kill him. 
  • I hope that by doing this I am teaching all of France a lesson. Even though I will most likely be killed it has all been wroth it
  • This woman was none other than Charlotte Corday. She saw Morat as the person who started the Reign of Terror and ended many lives. She grew closer to his tub and pulled out a knife.

  • This woman was none other than Charlotte Corday. She grew closer to his tub and pulled out a knife and impaled him.  His assassination marked the death of the Jacobins.  
  • Charlotte Corday, after stabbing and killing Jean-Paul Marat, waited by the bath for the police to come and arrest her.
  • Once arrested, Corday was guillotined for this assassination. Under the rule of Louis XVI and his wife Marie Antoinette, there was a huge Reign of Terror that swept the French population. Marat's work largely impacted the start of the Reign of Terror. The Enlightenment and other revolutionary events such as the death of Marat, would lead to Napoleon’s rule over the French Empire.
