In chapter 6, a man with a gun tries to shoot at the direction of the crying. The bullet hit Coyotito and killed the baby. Kino had killed all of the men... Kino had blood on his hands.
In chapter 5, Juana caught her eyes onto the pearl and tried to throw it back into the sea. Kino saw as she tried and he struck her, he beat Juana because of what she did.
In chapter 6, Kino realizes all the evil that the pearl holds and how it destroyed his life and his family. He is so depressed and felt grief.. much for Coyotito.
