Beowulf has defeated the foes and has rested for a while. No monsters to kill and he was well rested. Being treated as king was a delight until something unexpected strolls into town. It seemed like a normal night in the land of the Danes. Beowulf had had dinner, got ready for bed, and went to sleep. Morning comes and there is an unexpected guest waiting for him.
A local townsperson named Shawn was awaiting Beowulf. He had claimed a foe was at his store last night leaving a mess and vandalism. Beowulf decided to check it out. The store was a mess. Items were all over the floor and words were written on the walls ‘Beowulf is next’. This alarmed him. They looked at the security cameras and noticed a strange dragon in the store. It was a foe and he knew it. They cleaned the store up best they could and left
Beowulf took a copy of the security footage home to take a better look. Chills went up his back each time he thought of the words written in bold red on the store wall. About the 10th time re-watching the footage Beowulf noticed something. He knew that dragon! The foe was Grendel’s Brother Joe. He had come to take down Beowulf once and for all.
A couple weeks go by and no sign of Joe. Beowulf was ready for when he did show up. Beowulf was walking at the market when Joe showed up. He had been training and was ready to take him down. Joe confronted Beowulf about killing his brother and Mom, the only family he had ever known. Beowulf had a sense of regret for a second thinking of what he had done. He has killed someone’s family.
Joe gets Beowulf off guard and slams him to the ground. Beowulf snaps into reality and realizes what he does is for the best and he wants to keep everyone safe. He attacks back at Joe. Everyone at the market runs in fear. Soon Beowulf and Joe stop. Beowulf realized killing wasn't the answer. So he decided to put him in jail. Beowulf found some ropes and tied them around Joe’s feat. Joe falls to the ground. Beowulf drags him to a cage and locks him up.
It’s been 4 months after the events and everything has been silent and still. No commotion, no foes, just relaxation. Beowulf is still a little scared that Joe can find a way to escape, but until then he’ll enjoy his time off. You never know when something will strike again...
