This is an internal conflict between Walter and Travis. Walter wants to be able to provide for his son and his family but he doesn't have enough money. Travis needs money that Walter doesn't have so he has to give him the only money he has.
This is an external conflict with Beneatha because she doesn't know what she wants to be in life and is made fun of by her family because of it. Each time she chooses something else to try at her family looses their hope in her.
